Gallagher believes that there is much to be gained by creating an environment for discussing best practices, technological trends, and improving the security industry’s ability to generate bottom line corporate value.
The company has demonstrated this through www.gallaghersecure.com, a business community for security and they will expand this practice further at ASIS in Orlando this year by introducing a new booth designed to be an education forum.
“This is not meant to be an infomercial for Gallagher,” stated Jack Turley, VP of Sales & Marketing for the company. “Rather, this is intended to be the go-to booth for conference attendees to get a quick education on the most important industry trends that will be affecting their companies. All speakers are well known industry thought leaders, and the only rule we impose on them is that there be no mention of products or companies so as to keep presentations independent.”
Topics and speakers include Sal D’Agostino of IDmachines discussing Identity Management, Jeffrey Slotnick of Setracon talking about Corporate Compliance and Resilience, and Dan Dunkel of New Era Associates discussing Mobile Platform Security. Additional topics include Security Cloud Strategy, The Intelligent Perimeter, and Shared Services Strategy. Speakers for these additional subjects will be announced shortly.
“These aren’t Gallagher’s topics,” said Turley. “We asked industry experts what they thought were the most important subjects that ASIS attendees should become familiar with, and they created this list of topics. We are very pleased to have assembled such an impressive list of security industry experts to speak at the classroom section of our new booth.”
